Am 7. Februar wurde durch Jaeho Lee bekannt gegeben, dass eine Closed Beta für Korea im Sommer diesen Jahres geplant ist. Am Ende des Jahres 2007 ist dann die Open Beta geplant. Wann allerdings das Spiel nach Europa oder Amerika kommt, wurde an dieser Stelle nicht erwähnt.

In a conference call on February 7th NCsoft´s CFO Jaeho Lee revealed that the company is preparing for "the first Aion closed beta test to be held this summer". Lee added that "the closed beta tests will occur with the goal of having the open beta by the end of the year." ´Aion´ is currently in internal testing phases within the company.
Lee also made an official comment on the standing of their other MMORPG project, Lineage 3. Lee made known to the company´s foreign investors that "the Lineage 3 team has been reset". The decision was made after "5 days of intense meeting and discussion", during which it was concluded that the project lead Yonghyun Park would be dismissed and the project itself put on hold. "We will bring together a new team for the project and get it back on track as soon as possible" said Lee, "Aion and other projects will not be affected by this in any way." An employee at NCsoft added that they are "not sure if the designers that were working on Lineage 3 will remain with the project or if they will be moved to other projects. Interviews will be held to determine who will stay."</div></td></tr></table></ul>
