I'm afraid there isn't a way to repeat the quest. However, if you petition a gamemaster, that is the sort of thing they should be able to help you with.
If that doesn't work, wait until the next patch. I added a contingent to the quest to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone in the future. Abandon and retake the quest at that point and you should have a crystal.
