I think the current size of the "play area", with the stack of 8 cards, the "conversation window", my Chat box, etc. means I have virtually no room on my screen for anything else.
I'm not a 90 year old man, I don't need a 2"x1" card on my screen to see what the stats are.

To make it smaller, use a number less than 1. I find that 0.7 works well for me.
This will cause graphical issues with the cards, but it will make them smaller.
