I remember a different thread that said chests would be made of stone. At the time I didnt know if this was saracsm or not. Obviously it was. The recipe for the chest requires planks. I can make planks as a minerologist. But IU cannot use them to make a chest. The recipe also requires no other items but wood. No metal hinges nothing. So it more a crate then a chest (assuming your adhesive to hold it together.) So I ask you, what is a chest but a box with a lock. Whats a house? a bigger box with a lock. I wouldnt presume to be able to make a boat not knowing fluid dynamics and bouyancy ratios. Neiter would a carpenter (real should be shipwright) be able to make a house not understanding foundation and structural suport system, and load ratios. But were talking a crate here. The most basic shape a amatuer crafter can make. So my question is:
1) Why isnt the recipe for chests(cratehttp://www.vanguardcrafters.com/forum/images/smilies/TONGUE.GIF ) a shared recipe to artisans in general.
Because I wanted the carpenters to make it along with the rest of the wood furniture.
