I am super excited about the weather too -- having seen it in house, it's going to be amazing. We're just finishing up the server side of it (the tech for the storms and such is there) where there is a global process that spawns and depawns storms, moves them around the seamless world, and then the enter regions, those regions have parameters as to what affect that region should have on the encroaching weather (e.g. a storm enters a desert region and dissipates, etc.).
As for music, I'm not sure. Nino has, in addition to kicking ass now as assoc. Producer of Design, composed more music than I've ever seen. The quality *and* quantity is just crazy. He is super talented and also great to work with.
That said, even though he's composed a TON of music, I don't know if he has some for flying through the clouds and such (yet). He can answer this better. Also realize that, as fast as he is, he can also keep adding more music and variations on existing themes post-launch -- we can patch in new music just as we can patch in anything else.
