I'm trying to decide if I should get http://www.ati.com/products/RadeonX1950 or wait for ATI to release a Direct 3D 10 version.
Any thoughts? I'm a bit impatient.
1. Vanguard won't take advantage of DX10 for quite a while after ship.
2. That doesn't mean, however, that cards faster than the 1950 don't appear before we ship.
So I would still encourage waiting unless you need a card right now. Btw, I did buy 2 x1950xt cards (guy didn't have the xtx yet, if there is going to be one) and they are cooler and a bit faster than the 1900xtx. Worth the upgrade? If you have money and also since they run a lot cooler, that's a big help. But are they massively faster? No.
