It fits the fantasy game perfectly. Its steam robot or something...all goes with the gnome race, which are the smart ones creating steam machinery, thats probably why at the end the big mob ends up being a small little gnome.
The gnomes have a little 'steampunk' in them, but not much. Certainly less than WoW and likely less than EQ 1.
