In addition to access to the full game client you also get access to Beta 5.

There is still a subscription after you pay for the game client, however, by purchasing the digital download you will never have to worry about finding Discs as your key is automatically registered with your account and you can download the client at any time.

Also as Loampounder mentioned you will be able to cancel without being charged up until midnight of launch (Jan 30) with no charge for the 3 days of free play with the pre-order.
