Ozzfest 2007 post show thread - Fires of Heaven ************* (Elidrath Renato)

The reason Ozzfest was full of shitty bands this year is because it was free. Normally Sharon Osbourne charges 2nd stage bands $70,000 to do the tour. Of course.. the band still has to pay all the costs to actually tour, that $70,000 fee goes directly into Sharon's bank accounts.

The main stage bands don't have to pay, but don't really get more than operating costs for their show. Again.. Sharon pockets all the money made from the shows. The bands get exposure and not much else.

I used to really like Ozzy, and Zakk, but after the shit Sharon, Zakk, and others in their crew pulled last year throwing things at Iron Maiden, I lost all respect for them. That's a cardinal sin among performers.. you don't throw things on stage as the band can't see anything coming due to the lights. Basically it's a recipe for major injury.

Then Ozzy only actually played at very select shows, and he uses a teleprompter for his songs because he can't remember the lyrics anymore (Just Say No to drugs mmkay). Ozzy himself isn't a bad guy, but Sharon is a real piece of shit.</div> <div> __________________
