Wie auf der Homepage von Sony Online Entertainment zu zu Station Access bekannt gegeben wurde, werden sich die monatlichen Abo-Gebühren auf 24,99 US-Dollar / Monat erhöhen. Zustande kommen diese höheren Kosten, da seit dem Release von diesem Spielepaket nun neue Spiele hinzugekommen sind und alle Kosten auf die einzelnen Spiele verumlagt werden.

We will be increasing our subscription rates in June. Effective June 1, 2006, the new monthly subscription rate will be $24.99/month. While this announcement may be unpleasant, we have added several games to the Station Access subscription package and the cost of operating the game service for the games included in the Station Access subscription package has increased significantly since we launched Station Access. This change will help us achieve our goal of seeing that every player has a consistently enjoyable experience in our game worlds. You don’t have to do a thing; you will automatically be migrated to the new billing structure under your current subscription plan when your current subscription plan expires. Subscription rates are subject to tax and value-added taxes, as applicable.

New Station Access™ subscription rate as of June 1, 2006:

• $24.99 per Month

Station Access subscriptions are recurring, meaning you will continue to be billed at the appropriate interval, until you affirmatively cancel your subscription.

Subscriptions are subject to tax and value-added tax, as applicable.

Please note:

The subscription charges are in addition to the cost of the games that are part of the Station Access subscription package. All game software is sold separately.

Mal eben ne Preiserhöhung um 50%. Das nenne ich Fett.

Ich denke aber das sie sich da ins eigene Fleisch schneiden. Es gibt auch viele Junge Sieler die das über eine Gamecard oder Sponsored bei Pappi/Mammi machen. Die müssen das erstmal zusammen bekommen.
Zudem sind noch viele MMORPG ins den Startlöchern. Das gibt Konkurenz.

Ich finde den Preis zu hoch.
Angesichts der geplanten Erweiterungen.

Ich kann hier keine Erhöung des Level Caps erkennen. Ich bezweifle damit, das sich Level 70 Gamer die bestimmt zu den treuen Kunden gehören damit zufrieden geben. Dann noch der erhöhte Preis !

Das bleibt abzuwarten wie sich das entwickeln wird. Ich bin damit ganz und gar nicht einverstanden. Eine Erhöhung ist sicherlich nötig seitens SOE. Die Entwicklungskosten der Erweiterungen tragen sich bestimmt nicht nur aus den Verkaufszahlen. Zudem muss ja auch einem gesteigertem Hardwareaufkommen Rechnung getragen werden. Aber so eine so gesalzene Erhöhung ist dann doch happig.

Jo danke, hab ich mittlerweile auch gechecked. War am Anfang was iritiert, da Gryphus das mit relativ wenig Kommentar veröffentlich hat.
Da hab ich das schnell mal falsch verstanden.
