1. Will only people who have an active account be able to post on fansite forums? This is the best thing about game forums...even though you disagree with some posters, at least you know they have an active account and some vested interest in the game. It seems this "new" philosophy makes it way too easy for all the Vanguard haters to troll all fansites and constantly create chaos or spread misinformation...did anyone think that through?

We do not enforce a restricted membership or provide the tools and data that would be required for this to be possible, however, you will find that many communities will quickly root out troublemakers.

2. Will you immediately remove support from any fansite that begins to smell of third party gold sales?
If a fansite is found to be supported by the secondary market in any way they will be dropped from the list immediately. They are not welcome in Vanguard or our community.

3. What guarantee do I have that I won't miss important game info from the devs if I pick a certain fansite? There has to be something in place to ensure that ALL fansites get the same dev information...not just devs posting on their favorites fansites.
Devs will not be required to post the same thing on all sites, and fansites will continue to request interviews. However, this information will be collected on our main community site (www.vanguardsoh.com) run by our community team. The affiliates are also in constant communication with one another and are very good about sharing news and info about developer postings.

4. I guess I am dense, becuase I still can't see how fracturing a community centered around one game into potentially hundreds of fansites helps to GROW community support for said game...
I understand how it can seem illogical, but from our experiences you create more problems than you solve when you centralize a community. Many people just don't get along, we feel its wrong to make people communicate with the developers and share their thoughts about the game in a place that is unwelcoming for them.
