While time efficency is a big factor, you're missing a key part to my statement. While we can have a dev tracker, and give all fansites the same information, this does not help our ability, nor the ability of others to participate in threads along side the more vocal and active forum posters.

Providing multiple locations for those of different posting habits and interests allows us to better direct our communications and interact with the community.
