Alright guys, I read the first page or so of this thread and I wanted to correct some assumptions.
1. We are not currently nerfing exp to slow people down. We have a pretty good grasp on how people are advancing, the people on the bleeding edge are about 20% more efficient than expected (but we expected that to some degree!). We are not artificially increasing leveling times right now. If we run into a major issue where something is simply incorrect, we will let you know.
2. We fixed a bug with 3 DoT NPCs - I am unsure if a note about this made it to the patch notes, or if it was just vauge enough to not be understandable. In all circumstances, 3 DoT NPCs were giving 38% more experience than intended. This was corrected. This was not a random nerf to slow people down - it even pained some of us at the office trioing on 3 dot areas. 4 DoT Exp was slightly increased after this change as well.
3. We reintroduced our drop off code for NPCs lower level than you. You lose a % of possible experience for every level the NPC is below you. This needed to be put back in due to the theoretical situation of a group of six killing 2 dots enmasse being the most efficient experience in Vanguard by a large margin. We put it back at the value it was in beta, but may end up lowering it a bit in a future patch.
4. We readjusted group bonuses for 2 DoT NPCs. This was also leading to a hypothetical situation where groups of six players killing 2 dots "quickly enough" was "more than efficient".
