Erm, you present this as though the problem with Disciples being overpowered was due to circumstances beyond your control.

The Disciple didn't gain those abilities from unpredictable weather conditiions. People in your offices were paid to design, code, test and approve those abilities. What's more, those changes were made before the game went Live.

Are you suggesting no-one at Sigil noticed how overpowered the class had been made, made by Sigil employees, until "pro-gamers" demonstrated the potential? If so, your QA procedures are lamentable. Or are you suggesting that you knew all along that the Disciple revamp left the class "overpowered", but you chose to do nothing about it? If so, your management process is lamentable.

Why is it so hard for professional MMO designers to decide on a brief, develop it and implement it? Why are we expected to accept constant tinkerings and revisions? If this approach was applied to any other commercial product or service, the company concerned would be out of business in weeks. I can't think of a single item or service I have ever paid money for in the 48 years of my life that was subject even to a small fraction of the fiddling, messing, experimenting, guessing, mucking about with that is consider baseline normal in MMOs.

I played my Disciple all day today. About 12 hours. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed it exactly equally in the current version as in the pre-nerf version. Frankly, I bring 100% of my fun to the game from within my own head. It makes no difference to me whether my character is "godlike" or "gimped". ALL I ask is that you make a stable environment, give me ANY set of abilities, and LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!

Just make your minds up, set the classes and BACK OFF! Please!

I apologize, that was not my intent. However, the truth is that some class changes did not make it into beta, this was not our intention, but we had to launch and that's the end of that story.

There are many known issues with classes that the designers are working continuously to correct, the unfortunate thing (as I mentioned earlier) is that when you change something about that class often times underlying problems appear that you weren't aware of prior to the change.

I've now leveled a new disciple to 15 post the patch, I've gotten a lot of good feedback and I definitely see where some of you are coming from.

We really do value the constructive feedback folks, the best way to let us know how you feel is to cite your experiences and tell us why you feel that way and if you feel knowledgeable enough how you feel it could be better.

The good news is that we'll have a test server online soon, so we can continue to work on classes without effecting everyone in that class all at once

Thanks all!
