I would probably fall out of my chair if you guys ended up getting permisson to release actual subscription numbers (for VG alone, not including Station Pass).
2. How in God's green earth do you release a game that is completely (99% or more) group centric and not provide a well built, well tested, and robust LFG tool. How does that happen ? HOW ? Especially considering the great travel distances, you would think this would have been on someone's radar.
Fucking pathetic. FUCKING PATHETIC.
Edit: As a pro-Wow player, I readily admit the LFG tool is a flaming piece of shit in Wow. The original tool they had back in the day was fantastic, there is some face punching to be done over at Blizzard over this as well. Thankfully, I can solo just about anything I want to, and not be dependant from square one on grouping to advance. This is not the case in Vanguard.
Easy there chief!
The LFG tool was built to the original spec, and fulfills the role as necessary. That does not mean it can't be better, nor does it mean we shouldn't find ways to improve it sooner rather than later. It is one of those items that I personally feel the players would gain a great deal of benefit from should we increase the functionality. Yes, the world is big and people are spread out, and it makes finding groups tougher.
The 'long travel distances' are in direct correlation to the size of the world; which is both a blessing and a curse. There have always been concerns that trivializing travel trivializes the size and complexity of the world. We've already addressed some issues, such as mount speeds, and will continue to make changes to try and maintain the delicate balance between travel being too tedious or too trivial.
Second, SOE has been notoriously tight lipped about releasing data for some reason. The Vanguard numbers are promising and above expectations, so that seems like something they would want to advertise. Also, my paycheck says Sigil Games Online and not SOE, so saying we are 'part of SOE' now is a bit of a stretch.
You can solo from 1 to 50 in Vanguard just fine by the way. I hit level 12 last night and I've grouped a grand total of once for about one hour; and it really wasn't necessary for me to do so. You certainly are going to enjoy the game more in groups though; but that is the same for every MMO I've played.
Lastly, what is a pro wow player? Do you have endorsements and tour the country or something like a pro wrestler?</div> __________________
