1) Stats were upgraded using the previous stats as a base (ie, still has hitpoints/str plus the inherent increase in DPS that higher rarity items have).
2) Quest items having +heal mod on them have nothing to do with whether the class team wants monk to heal or not. It's simply done to cater to both Disciples and Monks with a single weapon reward.
3) H2H weapons fit less into the "lore" of Dargun's Tomb than a martial staff but I will ask the guy that wrote the quests whether he'd prefer a staff or a fist.

2) What are the dev's view of monks at this time? Are we suppose to be a healing class? According to all quest items, we should be, yet we have no heals, and do less DPS than clerics of same level. (a cleric friend of mine and I fought the same level mobs, started at the same time, mine was at 25% when her's died, and it occured consistantly for 2-3 hours until we stopped farming)
3) Since you changed it to a Martial Staff of Bashing, would there be anyway you could add in an h2h weapon? Monks don't really use staffs. imo, if I wanted to use a 2h, I would have played a DK or Warrior.
