Concerning this change - the items in question needed to be brought onto the scale in which they were introduced to the game world. They were dropping very frequently far beyond the rate for their intended rarity.

We're very protective of the in game economy and itemization and will fix things when they're not working as intended and put the economy and health of the game environment in jeopardy.

Please remember that there are a number of people here working on many different parts of the game, just because problem A hasn't been fixed doesn't mean someone else can't be working on problem B.

Thanks all, we know changes like these are never fun for those effected, but it's for the good of the game at the end of the day, it always is
