If there is a shot at getting nothing, or something gay, and these quests are long and drawn out, AND require prestige to "purchase" (which means grinding to gain the prestige back so you can try it again), I fear that'll be the death of diplomacy for me. Let's hope the odds are thought out well.

There are several levels of risk available to the diplomat.

Turn in one facet, and you will get a low chance of receiving a gem, and a moderate chance of at least getting you facet back.

Turn in many facets, and you are guaranteed a chance at receiving a gem, and a miniscule chance at receiving a super gem.

Turn in a large number of facets, and you have a significant chance of receiving a super gem, and a guarantee of at least a gem.
