Here is now my question to anyone here. What are people basing their assumption that Brad won't pull the same mistakes again and having faith in the product and the man behind it? What facts do you base your assumptions of his honesty on? Any past behaviors that prove his honesty with regards to EverQuest?
You need to read more of the topic at hand and realize what and who I am replying too.
And I already stated with regards to thw WoW content, whether or not it was supposed to be in retail release, and whether or not it was "make up" content, for SoE it wouldn't have mattered in my opinion. SoE would have charged. Blizzard still released it for free. Any other company would have probably charged too. Regardless of if they said it would be in or not.
For the record, we *will* make some of the same mistakes again -- we just promise that we've learned from the past and therefore have better systems, pratices, and just all around will try harder not to make the same mistakes as before nearly as often -- we are making a very sincere effort to do things better this time around in all ways -- it's one of the reasons we decided to do another fantasy MMOG and not move onto something else -- because as proud of EQ as we are, we wanted to take all that we learned and do an even better job this time.
And then we'll probably make some brand new mistakes as well, us being imperfect humans and all of that.
But overall we'd better improve, and noticibly, otherwise we just spent 4 years + for nothing.
