7% sounds good - but it's hard to say without knowing how evasion works (and I don't). Is it a flat +7% evasion? or is it something more like 1+(Base Evasion *1.07)? The first is pretty good, the second is a joke
Notice the attibutes are much lower on new warhammer as well.
Now, the big kicker here is - why is one 11 dps higher then the other at the same level? That's my main issue here to begin with.
It's a flat +7% evasion, which is why I consider it broke
You "chose" to boost the evasion of the weapon with 70% of the item's points (70% is actually 10% more than I put on any adventuring item and, even with a 60% cap for a single modifier, you probably won't see +6% evasion on most any adventuring items). That left 20% for Con, 10% for Dex and the default Weapon Damage.
On the other hand, the Purification Greatmaul had 15% spent in Weapon Damage (which is actually less than the percentage that Striking adds), 10% in +crit, 10% in +Acc, 5% in Health, 45% in Strength and 15% in Dex.
Point being? The Maul of Purification had it's points spread out and spent much more wisely.
