The interesting thing is that some people tend to think that the itemization in there is awesome while others tend to hate it. My guess is that the former have seen many of the bosses and sub-bosses, who can drop heroics, while the latter have seen mostly the lesser named, which can only drop blues and yellows.

That aside, we have a fairly annoying problem with our item system at the moment that results in an increasing disparity between heroics and lower rarity items as the levels of the items go up. Because of this, many of the blues and yellows in places like Nusibe and Rahz just flat out can't compete with Heroics, even against Heroics that are 5+ levels below them. Regardless, it's being addressed internally (has been for a couple of weeks) and, once pushed to live, should make a lot more people happy as well as strengthen the health of our item progression as the game evolves.

In short, we're working on making the majority of items in the game better
