I upped my station to 460 (and still going up, want to see what additional skills I can get) and the comp rate has gone WAY down to a very manageable level. A 33/33/33 build used to be called "defensive" when it was actually more balanced, and now a 60/20/20 or 50/25/25 build is more in line with a true defensive build.
Other high level crafters are discovering this too, and I believe in the bigger scheme is actually a good thing. You have to REALLY choose if you want to be offensive with a chance of failure and more chance at higher grades or go the safer route with less chance to hit those mod As.
Thanks for all the data it is indeed helpful. What Narek says is along the lines of the goal. Someone who wants to go after station skill should reap the benefits of lowered comp freqeuency, conversly if your station skill is to low (in comparison to the recipe level equivalent skill value) you will certainly get alot of complications.
I will look into this more if I get some time tomorrow, if not then sometime later in the week.
