in Wow the guild i was in Raided end game.
We where "they still are" really good at Coming up with Strats on our own and Beating encounters.
the problem is...
I have allot of friends outside of the guild.
yes I'm very social..
i find it very Disheartening that i cant Go inside MC/BWL and help them in anyway whatsoever..
I just cant do it..
sorry man i would come help you guys but my guild is doing that instance Tomorrow and they wont let me come help you..
OR...
Sorry we did that yesterday and i cant get in there with you..
that is what hurt my Enjoyment of WOW..
i really hope People that have only played wow read this and understand where I'm coming from.
While we still have to control the rarity of items, the beauty of the Advanced Encounter system is that you can still access the dungeon -- instead of making access to the Instance rare or hard to get, we simply make the beginning of the encounter routes more or less rare as we tweak and balance -- the rest of the game, especially the dungeon you are in, is unaffected.
Our system IMHO is more immersive, more friendly, more pro-community, and more believable. In a sense it *is* Instanicng, but it's on the encounter route and boss level basis, not the whole region. I think this gets us all the plusses of Instancing, but hopefully none of the minuses. There will still be challenges, and still be competition for the best items, but overall the system is IMHO much more elegant and community friendly.
