I then handed in "Exchanging Information" (Halgarad part of the webquest) to the same npc IMMEDIATELY after handing in "Winding Roads" (but before completing "Sweeper Agent" that was now in my quest journal). This is were the problem lies.
Handing in the quest SHOULD also have resulted in receiving another belt reward and the "Sweeper Agent" quest AGAIN, in order to continue the Halgarad part of the webquest.

However, because the "Sweeper Agent" quest was already in my journal (as the follow up to "Winding Roads") the completion of "Exchange Information" bypassed giving me the belt reward (god knows why) and also now as the quest system thinks that I already have the "Sweeper Agent" quest, it therefore, refuses to give the quest to me again (basically when I handed in "Exchanging Information" the dialogue window jumped to show that the "Sweeper Agent" quest is outstanding).

Just in case the whole problem was because the quest was in my journal - I've since completed the "Sweeper Agent" quest, but now I still cannot pick up the "Sweeper Agent" quest again (in order to follow on from "Exchanging Information"). I'm now in a situation where I cannot complete the thestran webquest until I get the missing belt reward and "Sweeper Agent" quest again (which I should already have).

I realise that its basically my fault but the easiest solution would be to reset the flag that marks my completion of "Exchanging Information" quest and I'll do it again. Now that the Leth Nurae quest chain is now past the problem point, it won't have any conflict problems then.

I've raised a petition, the GM's seem to be a little confused about the situation.

Please Aruspex / Linercore, can you tell me if the GM's can reset quests? Or perhaps can you tell me how I'm going to be able to complete the quest chain? I've tried backtracking (as I've been noting down where all the npc's are) but no npc will offer me any of the pre-requisites.

I hope the above makes sense as its very difficult to describe the situation.

If I read this correctly, you were on the Halgarad and Leth Nurae quest lines at the same time. Can you tell me the sequence of quests you accepted (eg. got the second one in Leth Nurae then 'ported over to Halgarad and grabbed the first one)? I need to know where you grabbed the second quest line, and where you were on the first line when you started the second.
