Vanguard is a canceled game that was released by an unethical company (SOE).
Microsoft could have greenlighted Vanguard but they didn't. They are professionals, if not just for the sake of public image. Props to microsoft.
SOE robbed people blind with a CANCELED GAME. What the fuck. This is a new low for Sony, releasing canceled microsoft abortions.
You seem to have more info than those of us working at Sigil at the time then. None of us in the trenches ever heard the game was cancelled. I sure as hell wouldn't have put in the 9 months of 12 hour days, and the 6 weeks of 18+ hour work days prior to launch on a cancelled project.
Someday, I think a post-mortem about Vanguard could be written, but in order to be fair, it would have to be long after the emotion surrounding the company/game was gone. There are far too many people still very angry about the whole situation even today. People with FAR more invested than the $50 some of you spent. Some people lost marriages, relationships, years of their life, etc over this game. Try to keep this sort of thing in perspective when you vent your rage.</div> <div> __________________
