I apologize for coming off as offensive; that was not my intention at all! If you missed or misunderstood or couldn't access the information, then we should take that as something to consider to help improve its delivery.
I re-read my comment and realized that it could be taken the wrong way.
I can assure you, I'm not irritated. This is good information.
When I said that, I was referring to people who don't want to read large blocks of text. And I didn't mean to offend them either, as there is nothing wrong with that! Some people like to figure it out themselves, skim through things, or access visual aids. But all the information is in text format. If they don't want to read it, we can't force them to, and outside of asking other people or experimenting yourself, there is no other way to learn.
Plainly said, what I meant was that we can't give visual assistance from the UI at this time.
Re: Hint Text
Sure, I would be glad to post some of the hint text here:
-
Complication
Complications can be either beneficial or detrimental to the crafting process. When a complication arises, a remedy family will become available directly beneath the complication. Clicking on the remedy family will present you with remedy options.
You can use one of these remedy options to attempt to remove, or alter, the complication.
-
Utility Action
This is a utility action. All utility actions require expendable utilities.
The attribute associated with utility actions is reasoning.
-
Recipe Completed
You have completed a recipe.
Recipes are successfully completed when you finish the crafting process without running out of action points. It is important to manage your action points in order to achieve the highest grade possible before you finish a recipe.

Here are some excerpts from the crafting advisor:
On Crafting Actions:
"There are the following types of actions: Ingredient, End, Remedy, Station, Utility, and Tool."
"Ingredient actions just consume ingredients."
"End actions end the current recipe and are last."
"Remedy actions are either utility, tool, or station actions that are used to solve complications."
"Station actions are actions that require no expended item or tool."
"Utility actions are non-ingredient actions that use an expendable."
"Tool actions always require a tool."
On Crafting Progress:
"The process begins with setup where the crafting inventory is selected. The actual crafting occurs across several sections where actions are selected from the appropriate action family. Quality actions increase the grade, which makes the item more valuable or powerful. Progress actions move towards recipe completion which must occur before your action points run out. The goal is to get as much quality as possible before running out of action points while dealing with complications."

These are just some of the subjects available, with many more on the advisors. In fact, we made sure to poll beta crafters on other subjects they would like the advisors to speak on. We made sure every single topic was added.
Again, it is not perfect, but I like to think we did pretty darn good with the text space we had. And it is a lot of text.
The system is different enough from existing systems in other games that it does require some big time explanation.
