Unless a band is one of the label's top 5 artists, they'll actually see very little for cd sales. Something on the average of 3 to 5 cents on the dollar AFTER paying back any advances given to them by the label to record the cd. The majority of money made by any band today is from touring, and merchandising sales at concerts.
This RIAA witchhunt is nothing more than the recording labels wanting their money, and has NOTHING to do with protecting the artist.</div> <div> __________________
