ROFL -- the imfamous pre-alpha shot that was leaked out -- funny to see that again! Btw, that dungeon is still there, although it's been updated quite a bit -- thats the Temple of Vol Tuniel in the swamps in south-central Thestra. A great example of how we've been able to keep and slightly update art assets and saved so much time by not re-doing things, or slightly re-doing things. This has a lot to do with the engine, tools, and our use of Shader 2.0 technology. You can take very old art assets and make them look so much better without a ton of work. Something that will really help Vanguard stay current looking over the years -- it's all about frequent udates, having a strong live team to keep the 'old world fresh' as we launch expansions, and having tech that was designed from day one to last years before we have to make major changes.
Good planning and our decision to use a higher level of technology, the latest in Shader tech, etc., plus some really good tools and very technical artists. It's really coming together (yes, I'm very proud). Hats off to the entire team for not just busting ass, but working both hard *and* smart.
I should try to find that spot and do a screenshot of it now -- I'll work on that and post it.
