It is boring as hell walking around for tens of minutes trying to find something worth fighting and from looking over a friends shoulder that is true in VG. Of course when she crosses chunk lines several times within a few hundred feet and has to wait for the "seamless" zones to load that breaks immersion also.
Do you think that you can figure out a way to get what you see before you cross a chunk line to actually be what is there after you cross? It really sucks watching her die to a tiger that wasn't there 20 seconds before...
With all due respect to those developers, I think they bit off more than they could chew. We have over 100 people working on this game, one of the largest development budgets, and people with over a decade of experience working on MMOGs. In other words, we will and already do to a signficant degree, have the content that is so vitally needed when making a huge seamless world. We have said in our FAQ from day one that 'content is king' and we mean it.
Check out the screenshots and the movies and the stories from the beta testers -- you'll see a wide variety of content, and both quality and quantity of content as well, and it will continue to grow in quality and quantity up to release and then afterwards in terms of the live team and expansions.
