The reason your game is going to fail, and the reason why SOE's games end up failing is because of content packs and xpakcs and 30 bucks a pop every 6 months that just bleed your customers when you damn well know the monthly revenues are more than enough to allow your company to develop and add free content.. You said something in a post yesterday about by the 3rd xpack or something to the effect of releasing a mad amount of content packs and xpacks like SOE does just bleeding your customer dry. No, it does exactly what it did to you -- it makes for angry customers. Frustrating customers by artifically slowing them down makes them upset and quit. There's absolutely no reason to do this.
And we never have under my watch, even in the old EQ 1 days, despite what some people might claim. We tried to make the rate of character advancement as right as we could for the average customer. We have learned a lot since then on how to make things less frustrating, but never assume malice when ignorance will explain the situation.
