a lot of people think One Winged Angel is the most recognizable music from video games, but i think the most recognizable music is either the victory music, battle music, or chosen one

I got to see More Friends, the Music of Final Fantasy performed live at Universal Studios for E3 2005. Deffinately one of the coolest concerts ever. Uematsu performed with the Black Mages (Final Fantasy Songs done to Metal) they did One Winged Angel with Chorus and a Full Orchestra, I was blown away.
They also had three Opera singers for the opera scene (sung by Cera (sp)) from FFVI/FFIII.
It was very cool though I loved his work with Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross as well, some of my favorite games.
