So a couple things here:

- Yes, it is indeed a card game. You get cards, you set up your hand, and you play your opponent. We have plans for PVP duelling at or near launch.

- The game you're seeing at launch is what I'm calling the "launch set" for Diplomacy. We want to get you all in the game, get you a little hooked on the card game vibe. Then we start putting in more cards and adding in new rulesets. Already our beta testers and our own internal playtesting has shown us a lot of expandability for the system. We're very excited about how the basic launch set is going to play out in our world, and how the system will grow and expand with the players over time.
