Actually, running through as a medium to large sized race there's a lot of areas (particularly in the residential portion) where you'll need to be a little more mindful in order to squeeze up a gnome sized staircase or what-have-you.

The city itself was built by Matt McCulloch. And while I may be kind of biased, its one of my favorite places in the game as well. :P
